Hair type 1A

• Very smooth and fine
• Minimal volume
• Greases quickly

Hair type 1B

• Smooth, somewhat fuller
• Average volume
• May appear slightly wavy

Hair type 1C

• Coarse, thick strand of hair
• More texture
• Tends to form slight waves

Hair type 2A

• Very light waves
• Thin to medium strands
• Easy to straighten or curl

Hair type 2B

• Distinct S-shaped waves
• Prone to frizz
• Medium hair density

Hair type 2C

• Strong, defined waves
• Almost curly
• More volume, prone to frizz

Hair type 3A

• Large, defined curls
• Shiny
• Can be appealed

Hair type 3B

• Tighter curls
• More volume
• Requires moisturizing care

Hair type 3C

• Very tight curls (corkscrew curls)
• Large volume
• Prone to dryness

Hair type 4A

• Dense, defined coils
• Fine strands
• Very prone to shrinkage

Hair type 4B

• Z-shaped pattern
• Less definition
• Very dry, needs moisture

Hair type 4C

• Very tight Z-pattern
• Maximum shrinkage
• Extremely sensitive, needs care
